Meet the Team at Green Family Dentistry in Morristown, TN

Dr. Tara Green

Dr. Tara Green was born and raised primarily in Missouri. She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor’s in biomedical science. She then graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry with her DDS in 2012. She has practiced in both public health centers and private practice, giving her the opportunity to hone her skills in extractions and restorative dentistry alike.

Dr. Green moved trying to find “home” and fell in love with East Tennessee. She worked in Jefferson City for 5 years and then met her soul mate, Eric, who was born and raised in Morristown. She decided this was where she wanted to settle down, and she purchased Linkous Family Dentistry. She has been overwhelmed by the kindness of the community, and she’s excited to spend the rest of her working life serving them.

Her favorite thing about dentistry is trying to improve a skeptical patient’s impression of a dental visit. Having had plenty of work completed on herself she really understands things from the patient’s point of view. She strives to make her office as pleasant as possible for her patients as well as her staff. And she never takes herself too seriously.

In her free time Dr. Green enjoys spending time with her family: Eric, Layla, Bennett, and their dogs Blanche and Packer. They catch trivia as often as possible, and they love watching sports: Vols and Lions football, Blues hockey, and Layla’s softball and basketball games.

Abby, RDH

Abby has been a dental hygienist for 5 years. She received her degree in dental hygiene from ETSU, fulfilling a dream she had since middle school of pursuing a career in the dental field. She is passionate about helping others, striving to make a difference in people’s lives by promoting oral health and helping patients achieve confident, healthy smiles.

She is originally from Grainger County but moved to Morristown when she married her husband, Mason. They have a sweet pup named Millie Jane. They love spending their time outside in the pool or kayaking. Abby is also an avid reader and rarely goes without her Kindle.

Fun Fact: Abby likes her meat so rare she only eats unicorns.

Pollie, RDH

Pollie has been a dental hygienist for 19 years. She has a passion for helping patients feel confident in their smiles. Her patients really appreciate her skill and gentle hands.

When she’s not in the office she is busy being a wife to her amazing husband, John, and mom to their two awesome boys, Hunter and Jackson. Their home is always full of energy thanks to their four dogs—and she wouldn’t have it any other way. Outside of dentistry she’s also an interior designer who loves creating beautiful, functional spaces. She enjoys reading, a good DIY project, and soaking up quality time with her family.

Fun Fact: Pollie can unscramble eggs.

Cheyenne, EFDA

Cheyenne is an expanded functions dental assistant. She has been in dentistry for 10 years, and she brings a warm, caring approach to every patient interaction. She is known for helping patients feel at ease and for creating a welcoming, positive environment in the office.

In her free time she enjoys kayaking and spending time outdoors with her two boys, making lasting memories together.

Fun Fact: Cheyenne can hear sign language.

Jessica, RDA

Jessica has been a registered dental assistant for a year and a half. She really loves putting her patients at ease and learning new skills.

She is from Claiborne County, where she lives with her husband, who is also her best friend, her daughter, and their miniature schnauzer, Milo. Balancing work and motherhood keep her busy, but she wouldn’t have it any other way. She loves shopping with her daughter and enjoys all things nature.

Fun Fact: Jessica is the reason Waldo is hiding.

Shayla, RDA

Shayla is a recent dental assisting graduate. She loves to help patients feel comfortable and confident in the dental chair. She has a strong focus on patient care and great attention to detail.

In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and caring for a lively household of pets. She is also planning a wedding for October 2026.

Fun Fact: All of Shayla’s toes are big toes.

Alex, Office Manager

Alex is an acclaimed English actor and director known for his distinctive deep voice and versatile performances in film and theater. After a career in graphic design and attending the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, his breakthrough came as the Vicomte de Valmont in the stage play Les Liaisons Dangereuses, which led to his iconic film debut as the villain Hans Gruber in Die Hard.

In his free time Alex likes to watch sports and spend time with his nephew, Bennett. Fortunately for Alex, most of his time is free time.

Fun Fact: The flu has to get Alex shots every year.

Amanda, RDA

Amanda has over 20 years of experience in the dental field. She is a highly skilled and dedicated dental assistant known for excellence in both chairside support and administrative office roles. Throughout her career, she has provided compassionate patient care, assisted in a wide range of dental procedures, and ensured smooth day-to-day operations within the practice. Amanda loves supporting patients both chairside and behind the desk.

She is from Hancock County. In her free time she loves spending time with her two daughters and raising critters.

Fun Fact: Simon plays “Amanda Says”.

Blanche, Head of HR

Blanche is a 6 year old Olde English Bulldogge. She was born a Georgia Bulldog, but she is a Vol at heart. She is new to the dental field, but she is a natural-born caregiver. Her favorite things about her job are the constant pets and booty scratches. In her free time she enjoys sleeping, barking at strangers in the neighborhood, and mothering her brother, Packer.

Fun Fact: Blanche knows Victoria’s Secret

Pam, “The Accountant”

When she was a young warthog, she found her aroma lacked a certain appeal. She could clear the savannah after every meal. She’s a sensitive soul, though she seems thick-skinned. And it hurt that her friends never stood downwind.

In her free time she likes to sculpt ice figurines and act in her improv class. She also enjoys spending time with her grandkids, Bennie and Layla.

Fun Fact: None of Pam’s toes are big toes.
